Back of record ABOUT THE DISC & RECORDINGS:

MGM Records ushered in the 1970's with this "Golden Archive Series". The "series" was only released in 1970. I find it extremely amusing that the label promoted these records as "The Exciting GAS Series From MGM" (!). Maybe that's why the series came and went in one year.

The album has been "electronically recorded to simulate stereo" which in those days meant that the bass was high on one channel, and the treble was high on the other channel, plus a little reverb and echo added, making the recordings sound a little more current.
