ABOUT THE DISC & RECORDINGS:
This CD (a reissue of the 1993 CD "Child of Hollywood") is a great mix of Judy's early Decca and MGM soundtrack performances. Robert Parker has long been known for his ability to take old film soundtracks and 78 rpm discs and remaster them into great sounding "stereo".

The "optical soundtrack" songs here are taken directly from the film soundtracks. It's nice having great sounding "soundtrack" editions of these songs, to compliment the Rhino remastered prerecordings that have been issued (many in true stereo).

The liner notes by Lawrence Schulman are excellent. As are the annotations to each track by Max O. Preeo.
