ABOUT
THE DISC & RECORDINGS:
We believe that
this is Decca's first "Long Playing" 12 inch Garland record
(at the 33 1/3 speed).
Over the years, Decca would continue to release Garland compilations
to coincide with certain events in her life, such as her comeback
in A Star Is Born (Warner Bros. 1954), her triumph
at Carnegie Hall in 1961, etc.
The U.K. Brunswick "Ace of Hearts" version
listed above is abridged and does
not
include "Love" and "Sweet
Sixteen".
There was also an Australian version of this LP released around 1970.
All of these songs can be found on the 1994 CD boxed
set "Judy
Garland - The Complete Decca Masters (plus)."
