You wouldn't normally put Judy Garland and Carol
Channing in the same sentence, but here they are, together on
one CD! As fun as it would have been for Judy and Carol to record
actual duets, it never happened. This CD is a compilation of
some of Carol's studio recordings along with Judy's four songs
she recorded for Columbia Records in 1953 as well as "The Man
That Got Away" from the Columbia soundtrack LP of A Star Is Born.
This is the only CD that contains all four of Judy's Columbia
recordings in one place.
The recording date for "The Man That Got Away" is listed wrong,
and one of Carol's songs has two dates in two separate years,
leading one to assume that some of the dates for her songs may
be incorrect as well. Perhaps a Carol Channing expert out there
could shed some light on these for us!
