ABOUT THE DISC & RECORDINGS:

This is the "Jerome Kern" edition of M-G-M Records' "All Star Salute" series. Each LP featured soundtrack and studio recordings all written by the same songwriter or songwriting team. There are six more LPs in this series, featuring the works of Rodgers & Hart, Cole Porter, Sigmund Romberg, Lerner & Loewe, George Gershwin, and Irving Berlin. Although Judy's M-G-M Records recordings are featured on four in the series (see below), oddly enough no track from The Pirate made it into the Porter edition.
